Flag of the Kingdom of Justonia: a tiger lily above two crossed ferns and below a gold crown upon a field of equal horizontal planes colored from top to bottom green, purple, and blue.
A plane of blue represents both water and truth; the green plane represents verdant land and harmony; and the purple plane between represents royalty, human dignity and creativity which could not exist without the previous two.
The ferns take the place of traditional olive branches symbolizing peace because of their local abundance. Ferns cover the forest floor and some species are edible as fiddleheads. They are some of the first plants to sprout in the spring and remain green throughout the winter. Their inclusion represents bountiful abundance in nature, stability, and harmony as well as representing the meaning of traditional olive branches, peace.
The tiger lily continues the symbolism of the ferns while also representing hope, the plenty of summer, and faith that summer with its long days and warm nights will return.
The crown, an artifact of human creation, rests atop a foundation of nature (the ferns and tiger lily). The crown itself represents the Justonian Crown and its placement is meant to symbolize a stewardship of nature and that all of human progress is only possible with (atop) a healthy environment.
